We've been keeping it a secret for awhile, making sure everything was going okay, but we're excited to announce that we'll be adding a new member of our family in late August! Valentine's Day we found it it's a boy! Which somehow I kind of already knew but secretly was wanting to buy little girl clothes. I can't help it, tiny dresses are so cute but I'm sure I will find some amazing boy clothes! Let the hunting begin. If you know of any cool shops for kid clothes please leave me a comment or message me!
I've never been big on celebrating Valentine's Day but I do love the fun products that come out around this time of year. I have a bit of an obsession with heart patterns and have collected fun things over the years. Of course, the best time to find a lot of these products is around Valentine's Day so I've been hunting for products I love to share with you. I hope you enjoy my finds. I'll be adding more products soon!
Happy New Year! I've been meaning to share photos for awhile now but time got away from me and in all honesty, writing is not one of my strong suits. I use images and art to express feelings and emotions. That being said, I do enjoy sharing my passions and journey in life with others in the best way I can and sometimes words are needed. In November of 2016 Doug and I got engaged while on a short vacation to Lake Tahoe. He proposed to me at the end of a boat dock, in freezing cold weather with snow pouring down on us. So, pretty memorable. Even though I legitimately thought I might fall off the boat dock (it was so windy and the dock was really far out in the water) I would not have wanted it any other way.
Happy October! So It's not a secret that Halloween if my favorite. Lets face it, I have some Halloween decorations up all year long. I see no reason having things packed in storage that provide me with so much joy and inspiration everyday. One of my favorite things is hunting for fun and unique products and art to decorate my home and to wear so now that my site is back up I will be sharing more of my finds and how we decorate for Halloween in our home each year. It's fun getting to add new things to our collection that both Doug and I have picked out together!
Happy Tuesday! So this is my first real post on my new site and it's only fitting that it's an explosion of color. If you follow along on Instagram, Doug and I have been sharing some of the photos we took on our trip to the Color Factory in San Francisco earlier last month. I have no idea how we got so lucky because shortly after we bought tickets, everything was sold out! I did read that they are extending it and tickets go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday September 13th. It just so happens to be the season premiere on South Park and Broad City if you're into those shows! I'm pretty excited for both :)
Did you miss me? Did you even know I was gone? Ha! It's almost been an entire year since I last posted something on my blog. As you may or may not notice my site has a whole new look! I had decided quite a long time ago that I wanted to switch my site over to Squarespace because I liked the clean modern templates and wanted something quicker for me to use since I would be the one designing my site. I'm really excited about having my portfolio, blog and shop all in one place now!
I thought I would start sharing more of my product finds here on my blog. I'm constantly pinning to Pinterest but don't often share much of it here. I tend to pin in themes, usually unplanned. I'll see a pattern of similar colors, imagery, etc start to form in my Pinterest feed. For years I use to create mood and style boards of trends when I worked for Hallmark. It's something I absolutely love doing but don't usually have the time for. I plan to change that because they are huge sources of inspiration for me and I haven't been feeling the most creative lately.
Happy October! I can't believe how fast this year is going. October is my favorite month so I'm going to do my best to get a few Halloween posts up. I love hunting for cool products and art so when I found Josh Ln's Nuclear Citizens artwork I kind of fell in love. Like most, I grew up with the Simpsons and they have been a part of my life since 1987 when they appeared on the Tracey Ullman Show.
Wow, where did the year go? I didn't plan on taking such a long break from my blog but I blinked and most of the year had passed. So to get anyone who might read this up to speed, I moved last year across the country and since then have been setting up our home, organizing my collections, and doing home improvements when I have the time. I meant to share photos on here of our progress but it all just became too overwhelming.
