COLOR EXPLOSION AT THE COLOR FACTORY

Happy Tuesday! So this is my first real post on my new site and it's only fitting that it's an explosion of color.  If you follow along on Instagram, Doug and I have been sharing some of the photos we took on our trip to the Color Factory in San Francisco earlier last month. I have no idea how we got so lucky because shortly after we bought tickets, everything was sold out! I did read that they are extending it and tickets go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday September 13th. It just so happens to be the season premiere on South Park and Broad City if you're into those shows!  I'm pretty excited for both :)

WHAT i WORE : NUCLEAR CiTiZENS

Happy October! I can't believe how fast this year is going. October is my favorite month so I'm going to do my best to get a few Halloween posts up. I love hunting for cool products and art so when I found Josh Ln's Nuclear Citizens artwork I kind of fell in love. Like most, I grew up with the Simpsons and they have been a part of my life since 1987 when they appeared on the Tracey Ullman Show.

ART PRINTED SCARVES

Happy Wednesday! So next up on my products I wanted to share from Redbubble is this beautiful scarf with artwork by Karl James Mountford. I'm in love with it. I've been wearing more scarves over the years and I'm excited about this one because I love the illustration. I really wanted to see how these printed and looked in person and I'm so pleased with the quality.

GiFT iDEAS // PUGLiE PUG

I've never had a small dog, in fact my husky Ash is the only dog I've owned other than cats. Now I live with my boyfriends weird little creature who can't fit her tongue in her mouth...and it's hilarious, she's hilarious. So I guess it's mandatory to own lots of products with pugs on them when one decides to own one of these funny little creatures. Some of the cutest pug illustrations I found recently are by Puglie Pug. I picked up this pizza pug pillow from Redbubble and you can get all kinds of other products with the artwork on it.

ETSY SHOP UPDATES // KNITTING GNOME IS BACK

Back in 2007 when I opened my Etsy shop I had an illustration of one of my girls I drew with a gnome. I decided to print him on fabric and make a pillow out him so I had a version I could hold. Later as some time went by my gnome took up knitting. Don't judged, he makes some really awesome scarfs and knitted gnome hats!

WORK FROM MY ETSY DAYS

Back in June of 2007 I opened an Esty shop as a way to keep creating my own work while I worked as a greeting card designer. I've been a long time supporter of handmade items and my fellow artists. Opening my shop just felt like the right direction for me to go in at that time. I loved getting to know a lot of other sellers and met lots of people who's work I still follow today. It's been amazing to see the directions their work has taken throughout the years.
